How to play

Darts Rules

Five darts per round, one aim per dart. Pick a zone for each dart, throw, and each dart pays on its own. Every aim choice returns about 96% over the long run, so picking a zone is a volatility choice, not an edge.

How a round works

  1. Choose your stake and aim each of your 5 darts at one of the seven zones.
  2. Each dart is worth one fifth of your stake times the multiplier of the zone it hits, rounded down to whole GP.
  3. Your round payout is the sum of the five darts. Darts that miss the board pay nothing.

Example: a 1,000,000 GP stake with a dart hitting the Heart pays 1,000,000 × 12 ÷ 5 = 2,400,000 GP for that dart. A dart hitting Feet pays 300,000 GP.

The seven zones

Bigger multipliers are harder to hit. The table shows each zone's multiplier and its direct-hit chance per dart.

ZonePaysHit chanceWhat it means
Heart12×4.45%The jackpot zone. A tiny target at 12x: aim here when hunting the big hit.
Head6×8.83%High risk, high pay at 6x.
Hands4×12.96%A strong 4x with a workable hit chance.
Torso3×17.04%The middle of the board and the middle of the road at 3x.
Arms2.5×21.28%A steady 2.5x for players who want regular returns with some punch.
Legs2×27.02%A safer 2x that lands more than a quarter of the time.
Feet1.5×43.07%The safe zone. Hits 43.07% of the time at 1.5x: small, steady returns.

Misses and strays

Miss your aimed zone and two things can happen. 85% of the time the dart misses the board completely and pays nothing.

The other 15% of the time it scatters onto one of the other six zones and pays that zone's multiplier. Bigger zones catch more strays. A wild scatter can even land the Heart.

The scatter never lands on the zone you aimed at: it only picks from the other six.

Have a drink — the house dare

Feeling brave? Toggle Have a drink before you throw and the barkeep pours one for the road. Your vision blurs, the board sways, and every dart gets harder to land — but the multipliers never change.

  1. The pour is random. The moment your round is committed, the same provably-fair seed that draws your darts also draws your measure: Buzzed, Tipsy, or Wasted, each equally likely. You see which pour you got before the first dart flies.
  2. Your aim suffers. Each pour scales your direct-hit accuracy: Buzzed keeps 85%, Tipsy keeps 70%, Wasted keeps 50% of the zone's published hit chance (rounded down). A Wasted heart shot is still hittable — just rarer.
  3. Only the aim changes. Scatter chances, board-miss chances and every multiplier are untouched. The round result shows your pour, and the fairness page lets you verify the draw.

The long-run return while drinking, computed from the exact published math:

PourAccuracy keptLong-run returnHouse note
Buzzed85%~89.4%Mild sway. Direct-hit accuracy at 85%.
Tipsy70%~82.8%The room tilts. Direct-hit accuracy at 70%.
Wasted50%~74.0%Double vision. Direct-hit accuracy at 50% — heroes only.

Drinking does not change your return. The pour draw is part of the round seed and cannot be re-rolled.

Fairness

Each dart draws from its own fairness indices (domain 600–699), so every throw is verified independently. The long-run return is about 96% for every aim choice: the heart swings big and the feet grind small, but the math treats them the same.

Drink a round and the pour is drawn from fairness sub-index 15 of the same committed seed — verifiable on the fairness page like every other draw.
